APHG - 9/12/2014

We finished Ferris today, got our groups in place and now we are off to the real work.  Over the weekend, complete your map of Ferris's adventures.  Be sure you find a way to calculate the distance from place to place and see if you can find the speed limit. Consider how much time was approximately spent at each location.

Monday, we'll be ready to pick sides for our debate!

Have a great weekend!

APHG 9/10/14

Bueller...Bueller...Bueller...

Okay, we started our Ferris Bueller Project.  In case you miss any of the showings of it, it is available on Netflix for streaming and Amazon does include it in Amazon Prime, if you have  subscription.

If you need to get caught up, some of the stops on Ferris's adventure thus far include:

  •  His House - his sister, Jeanie, Leaves for school around 7:45am
  • Ferris then calls Cameron, who has also stayed home. He then changes the computer at school's record of his absences, drinks by the pool, plays around in his room, calls school to tell them how sick he is, before Cameron arrives. Figure it is 9:15am by this point.
  • When they arrive at Cameron's (after Cameron arrives at Ferris's house) and pick up the sweet ride, it is approximately 9:30am.

  • Cameron and Ferris then trick Ed Rooney to bring Sloane outside to be picked up. So when Ferris and Cameron arrive to pick up Sloane it's got to be approximately 10 am.
  • Okay, let us assume it is a 1/2 hour to downtown Chicago. This means it is 10:30 by the time they arrive at the parking lot.
Here are the basics of what we have seen so far.  Now, you need to find the relative locations and the absolute locations of each.  You should also calculate the distance from each place.

Have a great day!
